Police Chaplains

The Robbinsville Township Police Department recognizes the importance of resilience and stress management.  Our Police Chaplain Program provides emotional, moral, and spiritual support to our residents, officers, staff, and their families. 

This partnership with trained, qualified religious leaders, regardless of denomination, are available to respond during a crisis or time of need.  They provide a more personalized, comprehensive response to the community that we proudly serve.

A Police Chaplain is a trained volunteer that can provide counseling, comfort, and support to victims of crime and other people in crisis. They provide follow-up counseling, group debriefings, and individual intervention. 

Our Police Chaplains are on-call and available 24 hours a day for counseling, consultation, crisis intervention, and other related services. Our Police Chaplain Program consists of five chaplains of varying denominations. 

Some examples of a Police Chaplain’s duties include notifying relatives of a death in the family, assisting with catastrophic events, and giving invocations at various official ceremonies.
