New: Traffic Unit Safety & Enforcement E-Mail
In an ongoing effort to better serve the community, the Robbinsville Township Police Department has implemented a new e-mail address to field traffic complaints and concerns. The public is encouraged to address each complaint/concern accordingly, either by having selective enforcement and/or traffic studies.
The Traffic Sergeant will assure individual attention to the complaint or concern and either discuss the matter in-person, or assign a Traffic Safety Officer (TSO). That e-mail is trafficsafety@robbinsville.net.
Objectives:

Relieve the patrol’s burden on traffic incidents, including but not limited to crash investigations, lockouts, parking complaints, school traffic and pedestiran safety concerns – arrival/dismissal, etc.

Oversee crossing guards

Construction review for traffic diversion and detours

Proactive Traffic Enforcement

Community Policing and Outreach

Liaisons to all associations – attending meetings when deemed necessary

Official NJTR1 Crash Reports reviews and approvals.

Impound and tow company liaison, titles, and all relevant administrative work

Drone Operators

Department of Transportation Liaisons

Establish Plans and Educational Outreach for new laws- (i.e. Electronic Bike and scooter implementation enforcement plan and School Outreach/Education of the laws)

Child Safety Seat Technicians
-
Continuing education for officers, including but not limited to Emergency Vehicle Operator Courses (EVOC), Title 39 Updates, Field Training Officer (FTO), Police Academy, Gun Range, Radar Certifications, etc.
